*just a closer walk*

i was walking to work this morning, and i heard someone humming the very last line. that was all it took to get this ringing in my head. all day long.

just a closer walk
just a closer walk with Thee,
grant it, Jesus, is my plea,
daily walking close to Thee,
let it be, dear Lord, let it be.

i am weak, but Thou art strong;
Jesus, keep me from all wrong;
i’ll be satisfied as long
as I walk, let me walk close to Thee.

through this world of toil and snares,
if I falter, Lord, who cares?
who with me my burden shares?
none but Thee, dear Lord, none but Thee.

i think i love the country version more so than the "normal" one.
there's just something about it that makes me feel totally... good. =)
