* three snaps of the week *

SNAP #1
oh maccas.

just a few days ago, we were at mascot maccas, tiding away the time for raph to catch his flight back to perth. the ordering system at this maccas is all done by self serve machines. upon ordering, a 'change recipe' button came up after selecting my meal, so i decided to be a bit adventurous.

if you ever wondered what a quarter pounder with extra extra pickles and lettuce looked like, wonder no further:

awesome huh? let me just say... it was SO tasty! however. while we were thoroughly impressed with the food at this maccas, we were seriously shocked by the sign we saw on the way out:

jumping on the justin north food fan bandwagon, while raph was in town, the three of us went and tried his new joint, charlie & co, in the pitt st westfield level 5 food court. three realisations from this:

(1) this place is far too classy (and secluded) to even be considered a food court joint
(2) this place somehow makes it okay for adults to eat burgers without the stereotypical assignations of being unhealthy or junky.
(3) this place officially serves fries that are quite literally to die for (in the sense that they taste SO good that you risk wanting to eat too much of it that you could potentially suffer some sort of consequence).

charlie & co's parmesan and truffle fries:

my mouth is watering already.

SNAP #3
an absolutely priceless fail.

spotted in eastwood: (a.k.a. asiatown). i wonder.... why am i not surprised.
