perth: seeing the chubs.
these girls are the bestest friends anyone could wish for. i heart them.
i am however, bummed, because i didn't get a good shot with lass there too. =( she's too hardworking and decided to go back to work!
but really. friends don't get greater than this.
on the way to singapore, i spent the whole of my one day layover with them. we did our usual lunching thing at matsuri (yayy) and then hit karrinyup (2nd yayy). then when i swung back through perth on the way home to sydney, they were so sweet - they got up at an INSANE hour in the morning to come over to my place to have breakfast, right before having to rush to work and to the airport.
on my perth-day, there we were, sitting in the middle of karrinyup shopping centre, with not much to do, but to kill time while waiting for my jeans to be altered. every time i go back to perth, it seems that the trend for our hangouts always ends up at cafes or restaurants which give you paper and crayons to mess around with while waiting for your food/drinks. this day was no exception. after playing hangman (our next trend), the girls started drawing randomly - and they ended up drawing pictures for me... to keep! the afternoon didn't end until i nicely folded each of their photos and put them in my wallet. sweetness.
nadia's [2nd] creation... lots of laughs associated with this one, only because the first one didn't quite "make the cut" to be folded into my wallet. =p but i won't be mean and put the picture of that one up. she did however, earn a new nickname because of it. =D
jas and trish's.
we love crayons.
singapore.
it was great to get a chance to catch up with carolyn, even though it was only for one short hour! after not having seen each other for years and years, it was a great fun-packed hour. and it's decided! exchange reunion is officially not happening in africa. thank goodness!! but we now have decided on a new place: ALASKA!
i am superbly excited. =D
