last night was heaps fun! after landing, we ended up going out for supper with cheng, shell and lil. finally, after a whole year, the six of us back together again = good good times. it was pretty funny because we walked around northbridge for a good 20 minutes and circled the chinatown restaurant block repeatedly, until the point that a few of us absolutely refused to walk past the left-hand lane restaurants for a THIRD time, rejecting those ever so desperate hostesses. and then, even though we wanted to play pool, point 88 disappointed us on the food end, so as a lack of a better last resort, we ended up crossing the horseshoe bridge and going over to maccas in the city. and at that point, everything seemed to revert back to exactly how they were one year ago.
as i realize it, it's nights like this that make me really miss living here.
after a late night, waking up today turned out to be GREAT. there was no need to set an alarm, no dread of waking up, just sheer ease and relaxation. funny enough, i still ended up getting out of bed at 9:30AM! the morning was spent chilling with dad, chatting, catching up... the afternoon held tea fusion and pool, and tonight goes down in history, because after our mass reunion steamboat chinese new year dinner, it turned out to be the first time that the entire family has gone, as a family, to the cinemas to watch a movie together. ever. we ended up watching 'unstoppable' (hellooooooo chris pine!!) in a hope that it would be the kind of movie that dad wouldn't sleep through. and win for us, because it was a pretty damn good movie, and as it turned out, dad had lots and lots of things to recount about it after it finished!
i'm loving being back here. although i must admit, perth seems a bit quieter than normal. but hey, it's only the first day!
at this point, i'm so glad that i've got another 11 days left. =D
